My roommate Randi, her dog Winnie, my puppy Alex and I will all be walking in the Charlotte Humane Society's annual Pet Parade Oct. 15 to raise money to help homeless pets. Alex was once homeless himself, until we adopted him from a rescue group. The photo above is from the first day we brought him home. At six weeks old, he weighed 3.8 pounds. Now four months old, he weighs almost 26 pounds. Please sponsor Alex and I to help other lovable pooches like him.
